Fellowship at UBC
We love to fellowship within our congregation
and with members of our community. There
are events planned throughout the year for this.
Agape Celebration
Every quarter, we have an Agape Celebration.
We celebrate the Lord's Supper and new members.
We also have a potluck meal during which we have
fellowship with one another. Our next
Agape Celebration will be Saturday, June 8,
celebrating not only new members
but also our 1 year anniversary!
STEM Middle School
United Baptist tries to support the teachers at
STEM Middle School down the street.
We provided a meal for the teachers in the fall
and are planning to do this again in May in
appreciation of all that they do. We also take
goodies to the teachers at various times
throughout the year. Whenever the school
has an event, we like to attend to support the
teachers and students alike.
College Student Ministries
During the year, we provide lunch for students at the
Baptist Student Union (2601 N Ben Jordan) at least once.
Different churches in the area provide this meal to college
students on Tuesdays from 11:00-1:00 during the regular
semesters. We also hand out welcome bags at the beginning
of the fall semester and are planning to make finals goodie
bags for college students.
National Night Out Block Party
The first Tuesday in October, we have an evening
of connecting with our community and building
relationships. We partner with our local police,
fire, school and community groups to get the
community together for a night of fun, food,
and fellowship.
Drive Up Prayer
On Saturday mornings beginning at 10:00 a.m.,
there is a church member or two out in front of the
church. They are there to pray with and for anyone
who stops and asks for prayer.
Past Events
Join us for Easter Week at United!
On Maundy Thursday at 6:00 PM we celebrated the Lord's Supper and Foot Washing as Jesus and his disciples did before his death.
Then on Good Friday at 6:00 PM we gathered for Worship Under the Cross. We sang some songs together and heard a message from Pastor Mike as we reflected on Christ's Sacrifice for us.
Then, finally, on Easter Sunday we met for a churchwide breakfast at 9:30 AM and then celebrated our risen savior in our morning worship service at 10:45 AM.
Agape Thanksgiving Fellowship
November 18th, 2023
On Saturday, November 18th, we had our
Agape Fellowship. Because it was in November,
we combined it with a Thanksgiving meal.
We gathered in the sanctuary at noon for a
short service. We then celebrated our new
members, sang some songs of celebration,
and had a small devotional. Then we moved
into the fellowship hall to observe the Lord's
Supper and shared a meal together as Jesus
did with his disciples.
Christmas Eve Service
December 24, 2023
at 10:45 AM. We lit the 4th advent candle and
celebrated with a special song. Then we heard the
Christmas story read and sang some familiar carols.
After that, Brother Jeremy brought a short message
and we observed the ordinance of the Lord's Supper
together. Lastly, the service ended in darkness with the
lighting of candles and singing of Silent Night. At Midnight,
we had a live video on Facebook and YouTube with the lighting
of the final Advent candle and the story of the Shepherds.
Ordination Service
Sunday, September 10th, we had an ordination
service for Pastor Jeremy Prichard at 5:00 p.m.
What an exciting time in the life of a pastor
and church!
Grand Opening
On June 4th, 2023, United Baptist held its grand
opening. There was a worship service, lunch, music,
fellowship, and games!
